Day 9
Friday May 3
Moving day. Mike arrived home from work just as Pam started to pack the car. He not only packed the car but also carried out all the items. Wonderful.
We had an uneventful journey to Skye, warm sunshine and an almost cloudless sky all the way. The temperature got to 22C at one time. Lovely scenery, lochs, moor and mountains - just the one bird seen, a Buzzard.
We didn't want to spend too long in our overnight room, so sat in a car park overlooking Broadford Bay. Gulls - Greater Black-backed and Herring, a Grey Heron and a Guillemot drifting inshore with the tide. I photographed it but haven't edited it yet.
'Bonnie View' turned out to be a room at the Broadford Hotel. A very new and recent ground floor annexe which looked like a building site outside. The room was lovely, especially adapted for the disabled. A large wet room and handles everywhere - except where they were needed. Typical. My bed was very comfortable and I slept reasonable well.
